Compact LWIR Thermal Camera Core

The Boson® longwave infrared (LWIR) thermal camera cores set a new standard for size, weight, power, and performance. Its 12µm pitch vanadium oxide (VOx) uncooled detector, comes in two resolutions — 640x512 or 320x256 — and it's available with lots of different lenses, so you're sure to find a configuration that's just right for your next project. FLIR ISC9705

InSb & QWIPs, 320 × 256 format, 30 micron pitch

The ISC9705 was the first off-the-shelf, standard multiplexer introduced by FLIR Systems. Since its introduction in October 1997, detector manufacturers across the globe have purchased the ISC9705 for building infrared focal plane arrays. This high-performance, 320 × 256 pixel, readout integrated circuit is built using a submicron complementary metal-oxide-silicon (CMOS) process, built in 5-inch wafer form. Devices are delivered to customers in wafer form with an extensive set of user documentation included with each delivery.

FLIR ISC9809

InGaAs & Low-background InSb, 320 × 256 format, 30 micron pitch

An additional chip to FLIR's standard family of devices, the ISC9809 is specifically designed for low background applications. A CTIA front end circuit is used and the readout noise in the high gain mode is less than 70. Compatible with both P-on-N and N-on-P detectors such as InSb, QWIP, InGaAs and MCT, this mid format ROIC supports the same advanced features as the other standard ROICs, snapshot mode, adjustable integration time and gain, skimming, power and current adjustments, and additionally supports selectable integration capacitors (0.17e6 or 3.5e6 electrons).

Lepton®

LWIR Micro Thermal Camera Module

The FLIR Lepton® is a radiometric-capable LWIR camera solution that is smaller than a dime, fits inside a smartphone, and is one tenth the cost of traditional IR cameras. Using focal plane arrays of either 160x120 or 80x60 active pixels, Lepton easily integrates into native mobile-devices and other electronics as an IR sensor or thermal imager. The radiometric Lepton captures accurate, calibrated, and noncontact temperature data in every pixel of each image.

Longwave Infrared Thermal Camera Core

Tau® 2 thermal imaging cameras offer an unmatched set of features, making them well-suited for demanding applications like Unmanned Airborne Vehicles (UAVs), thermal sights, and handheld imagers. Improved electronics provide powerful image processing modes that dramatically improve detail and contrast. Its options include full radiometry, increased sensitivity (<30mK), and 640/60Hz frame rates. Since the Tau 2 640 and 336 configurations share electrical functions, common integrations can be designed that work seamlessly with both formats.

FLIR ISC0208

European InSb & QWIPs, 384 × 288 format, 25 micron pitch

The ISC0208 is a high-performance, European format, 384 × 288 pixel readout integrated circuit. Two versions are available, -1 with a 18Me well capacity designed for use with QWIP detectors and -2 with a 13Me well capacity for InSb detectors. The ISC0208 is built using a submicron complementary metal-oxide-silicon process, built in 8-inch wafer form. Devices are typically delivered in 6-inch wafer form with extensive user documentation and test data included with each delivery.

HOT FPA MWIR Camera Core

The new Neutrino LC is a SWaP+C optimized Mid Wave Infrared (MWIR) camera core, setting a new standard for size, weight, performance and cost. Designed for integrators, the Neutrino LC is compact and configurable, weighing in at only 380 grams with a steady power consumption of <4 watts, in a steady state @23 °C. Smaller, lighter, and more reliable than ever, the Neutrino LC delivers superb thermal imagery backed by industry-leading integration support from FLIR.

FLIR ISC9901

InSb, 640 × 512 format, 20 micron pitch

The ISC9901 is a large format ROICs compatible with P-on-N detectors like InSb, QWIP, InGaAs, and MCT, this 640 × 512 array is a small brother to our ISC9803 device, with a smaller pixel pitch of 20 microns. It offers advanced features like windowing, image transposition, adjustable gain, and multiple output channels allowing date rates of up to 97 frames/sec for full frame operation and 930 frames/sec for small window sizes.

Neutrino Performance Series

Highest Resolution MWIR Camera Module

The performance series includes the FLIR Neutrino QX and SX12. Neutrino SX12 is based on a FLIR 1280×1024/12µ resolution focal plane array (FPA) and has a frame rate of 120HZ 720P and >60Hz for SXGA. Neutrino QX is based on a FLIR 2048×1536/10µ FPA and has a frame rate of 60Hz 1080P and >30Hz QXGA. With these resolutions and frame rates, they are ideal for ground based or airborne Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), counter UAS solutions and Wide Area Motion Imagery (WAMI) applications.

640 × 512 Low Background ROIC

The ISC0002 is a 25-micron pitch 640 × 512 format ROIC specifically designed for low background applications. A CTIA front end circuit is used and the readout noise in the high gain mode is less than 70 e-. Compatible with P-on-N detectors such as InGaAs, SLS and MCT, this large format ROIC supports the same advanced features as the other standard ROICs, snapshot mode, adjustable integration time and gain, skimming, power and current adjustments, and additionally supports selectable integration capacitors (39e3 or 1.9e6 electrons).

The Neutrino offers FLIR'scommon image processing architecture and the resulting image from the 640×512 InSb array is superb! Weighing in at less than 16 oz (<450 gm) and consuming less than 5 watts at steady-state, it is FLIR's balanced MWIR core optimizing performance, cost, and ease of integration.

The FLIR Mini-Core HRC mid-wave camera core is available in multiple configurations, making it extremely OEM-friendly. 300Z comes with continuous optical zoom; 460T comes with three lenses that are instantaneously remotely interchangeable depending on whether you need to see far, middle distance or near; if your application calls for a consistent field of view, then you can select fixed, interchangeable lenses; or, you can select a lens-less core wherein you implement your own optical path.

The ISC0403 is a large format ROIC with a 15-micron pixel pitch. Used with P-on-N InSb detectors, this 640 × 512 array offers the same advanced features as our standard designs including windowing, image transposition, adjustable gain, snapshot integration integrate-then-read and integrate-while-read modes, power adjustment, and multiple output channels allowing data rates of up to 120 frames/sec for full frame operation and 2054 frames/sec for small window sizes. The charge capacity is >6.5 e6 electrons and the bias adjustment is 600mV.

PathFindIR II is a powerful thermal night vision system that helps you clearly see road hazards in total darkness, and it will alert you to nearby vehicles, people, and animals. Headlights typically illuminate about 450 feet straight ahead, but PathFindIR II detects heat without a need for light, allowing you to see up to four times farther down the road.
