FLIR Security, The World’s Sixth Sense, today announced that the company’s Cameleon Tactical Command and Control Software and Thermal PT-Series HD has been recognized as Security Today’s 2017 New Product of the Year award winner in the 'PSIM' and 'Thermal Camera' categories.
Presented by Security Today Magazine, the award honors outstanding product development achievements of security equipment manufacturers whose products are considered to be particularly noteworthy in their ability to improve security. More than 100 entries were received in the ninth successful year of this independently juried contest.
“We are grateful to Security Today Magazine for acknowledging the value that we provide and appreciate the receipt of this prestigious award,” said John Distelzweig, Vice President and General Manager for FLIR Security.
The winning Cameleon™ Tactical is a window-based software platform that integrates FLIR thermal imaging, CCD cameras and ground-surveillance radar to create a complete perimeter intrusion detection system. The strength of Cameleon™ Tactical lies in its ability to control virtually any number and combination of analog and IP devices from different manufacturers with point-and-click simplicity.
The FLIR PT-Series HD is the most advanced dual-sensor security system, combining a cooled or uncooled 640x480 resolution thermal sensor, a 1080p high-definition visible-light imaging sensor and a high-speed, precision pan/tilt system. The PT-Series HD integrates easily with FLIR United VMS 8.0, as well as other major third-party video management systems, making it an extremely versatile solution for critical infrastructure protection in total darkness, bright sun and adverse conditions.
